SCD Week 2 Results
The first set of results are in. With the votes carried over from last Week’s introduction two couples will be voted into the bottom two tonight, leaving one to be eliminated by the judges vote.
Tess and Claudia are back, as are the judges to gear up for the first elimination of the series.
Results are in
First safe, in no particular order are Frankie and Kevin. Strictly have finally figured out from us after years that there is no ‘is’ in couple. The second safe ARE Simon and Kristina. The remaining couples safe are Tim and Natalie, Caroline and Pasha, Thom and Iveta, Judy and Anton.
The first couple in the dance off is Jennifer and Tristan. (Looks like Ireland wasn’t voting.)
The dancers now perform a very cool group dance to animated movie Frozen.
Claudia takes a peek down the lens now. We now look back at Steve and Ola’s Cha Cha Cha with Len. He was not impressed with the footwork. Darcey spoke of Jake and Janette’s sizzling Salsa. The amazing lifts and limbo love was appealing. Craig talked about Pixie and her ‘renderjean.’ That’s how people say it, so deal with that. Scott and Caroline’s contemporary Tango’s were looked at by Bruno who had a good laugh about it all.
The results return with Tess to reveal the remainder who are safe. Still in no particular order, safe are Jake and Janette, Pixie and Trent, Alison and Aljaz, Steve and Ola, Mark and Karen, Sunetra and Brendan.
The next couple in the dance of are Gregg and Aliona, leaving Scott and Joanne to be saved for next week.
Jamie Cullum tinkled his ivories as some guy sang. Aljaz and Iveta gave an amazing sultry performance around the floor too.
The dance off
Gregg and Aliona
Hey Good Lookin’ – Ray Charles
Was it any different from first performance? No, but was there more precision or cleanliness? No. Gregg tried a little more to be better, but it just wasn’t changing anything from the original walk around comedy routine, with no real skill.
Jennifer and Tristan
Natural Woman – Aretha Franklin
Jennifer’s second dance was more connective and smooth. Managed to keep personality in place. Kept elegance. Still bit slow, but kept routine together.
The Judges Vote
Should there be a tie, leading judge Len Goodman will have the casing vote
Craig – Both improved enormously. Saves Jennifer and Tristan.
Darcey – Enjoyed both. Couple I save is Jennifer and Tristan.
Bruno – Have to go with most accomplished as a whole this evening. Jennifer and Tristan.
Len – I would have agreed, It would have been unanimous.
Gregg thanked Aliona for her patience with his dance capabilities as the pair leave the show. Aliona also crashed out first, two series in a row. Ouch.
Next week fifth judge Donny Osmond will join the judging panel.
