Big Brother UK 2012: The Final

Big Brother UK Final

The Big Brother travesty on Channel 5 took to the airwaves for its last night this series on Monday 13th August 2012, the night after we the United Kingdom hosted and closed the glorious Olympic Games.

The comedown of Olympic success and phenomenal talent, receiving gold medals for their accolades, now bore witness to five ‘individuals’ in a reality house whittling them all down to just one common denominator to reward with £50,000.

Would we reward a non-descript young female who was a non-entity who had praise for the Queen, or a guy with a troublesome past not to be mentioned on a telly show, for which Big Brother broke, possibly causing further problems for his former life. Also in contention was a trans female to male contestant with moral standpoints, a muscle man metrosexual obsessive and a former glamorous Miss India contestant.

Instantly beginning with the first eviction, the muscle man metrosexual with arrogant and temper tantrums with a ripped six pack and dyed brown ginger hair upset that his protein powder was concocted with curry powder know as Luke S was removed from the house.

Yes, he really does have a kiss lip tattoo, not make up…

Curry culprit Benedict

He was quizzed for a ‘camera’s only/pass the time’ fling disguised as a ‘relationship’ with former contestant Ashleigh Hughes, who claimed blind people could see in the dark.

Next to be released from the TV studio house was Sara McLean. The glamour puss who left nothing short of desire and often did some dirty dancing in her underwear, whilst having no outright personality and renowned as an extra left. She was cheered by some. Others had no reaction towards her.

Missing the final two were the group of the outsiders. Miss India, Deena Uppal came out of the house as third place contestant. Ms Uppal, who had caused controversy for standing up for herself against those who aimed to nominate and tarnish her self worth held her credibility upon a gracious exit. She wasn’t an original member of the “outsiders” grouping that were trimmed down in early weeks and going the remaining two weeks before the end as a natural survivor.

The final two, Adam Kelly and Luke A (Anderson), the final two insiders duked it out to be named the winner. The honourable and rightful Luke A received the nod for £50,000 from the voting public as Adam took second place. The pair had become best friends over the duration of the BB imprisonment. Both left the house to raucous cheers in the TV studio outside.

Thankfully, after the mass debacles of the show, and there were numerous which saw no action resolved getting away with light TV ‘murder’, the faith was restored by the Great British public to donate the prize to a noteworthy and deserving human being consistent of morals and dignity.

Conor McIntyre stole £50,000 from the prize fund the week prior in a button pushing task for sitting in a white room for numerous hours only.

So Big Brother UK came under intense scrutiny for producing a neo nazi in Caroline Wharram, a narcissistic woman abuser in Conor McIntyre and a foul mouthy, gobby Essex girl to maintain the “Essex Way” which is no true reflection on the county. With no action taken on abusive content from the above and others involved, with a changing of rules where an eviction of two popular housemates did not halt or reschedule an eviction process only marring it instead and an over sexualised theme from a newspaper editor who owns pornographic channels encouraging the values of de humanising society with its reputation on our screens has highly defragmented the real one we live in.

Unpreparing people for when they re-join the realms of reality off of TV, enforcing them to adopt those characters further and transferring them as role models with foul morals, abuse and racist or obnoxious, bullish detriments to others now deemed beneath these glorified TV stars warped by a sense of celebrity worth from being on a TV product that has set them free as fodder to make their own millions has now caused ripples into Great Britain’s unworthy ‘stars.’

Channel 5 and Big Brother will continue to churn out the format, unrealising that while they have a show every year, the output they transmit everytime will be defunct, devalued and hold no credibility whatsoever. Every show will be utter rubbish. On its predecessor, Channel 4, the show always had its credibility in tact over a record eleven series. Channel 5 has come under intense scrutiny as producing a product that has no scope from old foxes trying to raise youthful cubs to follow this reality show now being turned into a “gameshow” which is still very much reality TV at best. The fact some old guy is fully out of touch with the own concept of the show he grasped hold of highlights the tarnished reputation of that old man and the Channel desperate to get ratings and notoriety. While 5 get viewers, no one ever views the channel as a viable source and just watches for a bit then turns off when the ‘proper’ stuff comes on. 5 are desperate to gain viewers who value, stick with and depend on the shows broadcast. 5 have no scope to ascertain that audience should they continue this way. They have pinched numerous American shows and aimed to reform the British Big Brother, stood for on moral standards and how a real person lives with others, to a devious, backstabbing format to America’s BB. While this works for American TV, it doesn’t bode well for UK audience, and the fact 5 missed that or just ignored it through defiance and egotism completely highlights the problems it faces. It cannot maintain any credibly as anything other than a defunct trailer trash, bargain bin grouping unless it rethinks its full on ethical standards in production.

Alternatively, hire some executives or producers or even new people to fully revamp the show with staff on their want, with someone who understands the show and its audience requirements.  I am available, when you put stubborn attitudes aside. See contact tab on this site for more details. 🙂

Big Brother Nominations: Week 9

Big Brother Nominations: Week 9,

Family nominate housemates instead

This week Big Brother drafted in family members to nominate on housemates behalf. It had been done before, and many felt it was daft, however may have provided a silver lining.

Four made it for eviction this week, were Ashleigh, Becky, Deena and Luke A all face the public vote.

Sara’s mother nominated Becky and Scott feeling they missed the vote last week and should face it this week.

No Cigarette = Nomination

Luke S’ mother choose Luke A and Adam, as did Ashleigh’s burly dad. He blamed not giving her a cigarette as a reason to vote for them.

Conor’s girlfriend choose Luke A and Deena, as did Becky’s sister, while managing to stir trouble in the house, as the ‘outseeing eye.’

Adam’s mum selected Ashleigh and Becky, while Luke A’s wife picked the same.

Luke A topped the board with five nominations while Deena, Ashleigh and Becky had three equally.

Rumour’s of a double eviction are high, and best suited.

Conor and Luke S selfishly chose to enter a task for a chance to win a surprise prize of high value. Only three of the four would be allowed to enter, so Scott sat out for Sara. The boys chose not to budge and repugnantly ran to the room in haste to get their suits for the task, which will give one of them a free pass to the final.

Viewers were said to be outraged by the production once again, as Big Brother UK is trying to turn the style to a more ‘American-ised’ format akin to its own Big Brother and the Survivor gameshow element.

Middle Earth Ashleigh

Hobbit

Some fans claim middle earth Hobbit Ashleigh Hughes swears too much and “needs to go.” She was bookies favourite to leave last week.

This is where Big Bro UK has lost its niche on Channel 5. Fans cared for it having its own moralistic identity with integrity and value, on previous channel, Channel 4. Many claim 5 have ruined the show outright, led by backward production individuals, “going easy” on bad housemates and “highly editing” to save face and pocket cash from popular postcode residents in the household studio.

Last week’s eight man elimination saw nasty Caroline Wharram leave the house to mass jubilation. Wharram did not apologise for her actions of belittling people and dropping cruel insults and emotional abuse as well as racist comments. She was reprimanded once in minor fashion, though no action taken for none of her vicious behaviour, unsettling today’s society in the country.

She was loudly booed than anyone in the series’ of all Big Brother, while host Brian Dowling continued to insult viewers claiming “it’s all panto” in reference that all crowds “boo everyone” which is not the case.

Wharram, armed with a hairbrush

The fact they boo is solely down to the fact that they dislike the behaviour of housemates who have been bad in some form or another.

Dowling’s presenting has been classed as rotten and wooden, with no charisma, for which he was hired. Losing his touch, many wish to see Dowling removed from hosting duties, with sister show presented Emma Willis potentially taking over. 5 wanted to shake it up from a female presenter, not to seem copying the previous channel format with the exceptional Davina McCall, where it has constantly copied the rules and tried to alter them.

Big Brother UK Nominations Week 8

Big Brother UK Nominations

Week 8

On the eighth week ironically eight housemates out of ten are up for the chop, making fans speculate over a potential double eviction.

Only Becky and Scott were safe, meaning Ashleigh, Adam, Caroline, Conor, Sara, Luke A, Luke S and Deena are up for nomination.

First time nominated for house ‘stud’ Luke S

Deena is current bookies favourite to win the show, after being an outsider from the beginning. Last week Lauren Carre was evicted over popular Luke A.

Being a vote to save, fans assume Ashleigh is hot favourite to fall last in contention, though others hope it will be a two way elimination.

The obvious answer?

Eliminate Caroline. Nicknamed the Terminator by her housemates past and present, any one she schemes to get up for eviction ends up leaving, however, Wharram has managed to cause abuse, racism and highly aggressive verbal abuse towards other housemates. Many excuse her due to her age of 20. Age is NO excuse. I was morally right since 14 or younger. There is no excuse for the levels of behaviour to that extremism.

Big Brother took NO action on Caroline’s disgraceful behaviour.

Last week Scott and Ashleigh were reprimanded by Big Brother after complaints to OFCOM regarding Indian stereotyping. Only acting on OFCOM’s direction, Caroline still hasn’t been reprimanded for her levels of abuse, including a Nazi salute.

Everyone will stereotype, we do it all the time, and this is not a form of abuse, it is everyday life. It will continue to remain. However, abuse on levels of racism, including claims of a black man being a “gorilla” which still didn’t call Caroline in for stereotyping, after weeks previously giving her a light word most call a ‘slap on the wrist.’ Conor McIntyre has not been dealt with regarding his former abusive comments to females and aggressive nature in the house, which has cast immense negativity over the production of the show.

Big Brother UK Nominations Week 7

Big Brother UK Nominations

Week 7

This week housemates had to nominate face to face around a campfire during a Cowboy themed task.

In attempts to shake the show up, the bosses chose to make them nominate face to face, near the end of the series. It was an utterly ludicrous choice to implement, as the group of housemates playing more than a game, full of abusive people and racists chose to nominate the housemates under pressure – meaning they would all choose the obvious sacrificial lambs.

Should they have done this in private in the diary room as usual, the result would have been more diverse.

On Friday the show will lose an extremely popular housemate with the public, either Lauren or Luke A.

The show lost its edge and caused mass controversy when student Lauren faced porn star  and teacher Benedict Garrett, where all housemates creating the series have been weeded out, though this vote was when the rules changed, making it infeasible to evict after a change of discussing nominations.

Porn Star Benedict Garrett

This week Lauren was already pre-determined foreviction when the group spoke in code calling her the “wooden spoon” a nickname for stirring, where the housemates stirred the pot.

This is yet another rule break of discussing nominations, but because they have continually done this, Big Brother chose not to call it up, because it probably felt the same old boring thing is happening.

Conor and Caroline became the “Sheriffs” of the house

So Big Brother ignored its own brand identity and as a result, will become even more boring.

Big Brother should have changed the vote before and it should have changed it now. This is not affecting the ethos of the show, because the ethos is the rules they have ignored that require the change. The rules have been ignored to seem it isn’t always nomination discussions.

Big Brother is in its worst series ever and now has no credibility to its name and will be forever marred if this continues. It can turn it around if it changed it properly, but hasn’t done so, due to stubborn attitudes, making it a disaster.

At the start of last week Nazi Caroline was revealed, where she continually racially abused Adam for being black, calling him a “gorilla” among other obscenities and performed a Nazi salute when mocking him in a secret task watching footage with him in a group mentality.

After continual abuse and racial slurs, Caroline does a Nazi Salute. Big Brother execs nor Channel 5 have neglected to take any action yet…

Big Brother have shamefully taken no action whatsoever, despite requests.

Perhaps OFCOM need to investigate. See former post on Nominations for Week 6 here on the blog.

Conor McIntyre has also had temper issues and extreme jibes of assault to a female housemate, because he didn’t like her. He has been constantly striking furniture violently.

Big Brother UK, Week 6 Noms

Big Brother UK

Nominations for Week 6

After last week’s Turf Wars task, the last part would be to gain control of the Diary Room, which would allow the team of contestants the power to nominate, and the other team unable to cast votes.

Selecting one member each, to unlock a box with a number of keys, only one being the correct one, Luke A for the blues, took on Adam of the greens. Luke A and Lauren, members of the blue team, earlier told Adam of the greens they would sabotage the task allowing the greens to win as these three were the “outsiders” group from the beginning, which saw all other picked off.

The majority of the blue team were of those game players. If the greens won, most would get nominated, in their belief.

Upon the task, however, Luke A constantly stalling found the correct key, as Adam struggled. Eventually Luke A won the task, while attempting to fail, securing the blues the diary room.

All was not lost though, as Conor, Caroline and Ashleigh were involved in discussing nominations, therefore, now a rule break since rules changed, forfeited control of the Diary room to the green team.

This week, Conor and Shievonne face the public for eviction.

Luke S chose Deena and Adam.

Scott selected Conor and Luke S.

Becky nominated Conor and Shievonne stating she was “snappy.”

Adam voted for Caroline claiming she was “Vindictive, vicious and manipulative.” His second vote went to Shievonne.

Deena voted for Conor – “He’s aggressive. I don’t like him. He’s judged me before even knowing me.” She also chose Shievonne.

Shievonne, looking Glam on launch night

My View?

While Conor’s unacceptable behaviour is unfathomable toward women and his temper flaring, Shievonne (Robinson) has become a nasty backstabber and “sold her soul” in order to fit in with social grouping that doesn’t accept her and keeps her for the numbers game. While Shievonne claimed she was an individual, and as earlir background character with no role, she chose to lash out at others trying to help or talk to her. At 29, she is still very much a bratty child in her own world. She just won’t listen and follows the crowd after failing to keep her own identity in place.

Arrogant personal trainer Conor believes he can win the show

Her departure shall not affect the house overall, and will remove the number she tallies. It will then be another downfall to the ‘nasty’ bitches group power playing the outsiders, believing they owned the house outright, which overall, when they leave to societies real world, will be ever more disjointed from everyone and believe they are right in every action they do, willing to hurt others.
