There is no denying 2014 has become ‘The Year of the Woman’ with the UK flurrying to boost females in top dog positions with government and corporation institutions. Last year FalseFabs foresore and predicted the leading winner James Blake, an outsider no-one recognised, except for the judges as well. The list, revealed last week on Thursday is below.

This year a woman should not win ‘just because’ but there are some strong credentials on offer from them. Though the boys are providing strong competition too. We have a few faves based on their talent and leading acts are – (in no order) Anna Calvi, GoGo Penguins and East India Youth.

We will share our winning option nearer the time, to maintain a fair judging process. Though we have narrowed down three potential winners. We would hope the Mercury judges panel do not chose to ‘go against’ the deserving winner as an attempt to add difference to FalseFabs being musically in-tune with deserving talent.
