Wonder Woman has been cast for Superman sequel

This is the new Wonder Woman!

Israeli star Gal Gadot will slip into the female Wonder’s hotpants under the direction of Zack Snyder, presumably. She will be joining the coming Batman vs. Superman sequel to Man of Steel, meaning Wonder Woman is due to launch.

While Gadot is a stunning and sexy lady, Zack has proved to be completely mindless in making a superhero franchise thrive. After his misdirection casting Ben Affleck ( a talented actor unfit for the role) into the Caped Crusader’s costume, Warner Brother’s is proving to be little competition to its rival, Disney, owning the Marvel group. The aim is to produce the long awaited Justice League film. Many view this as a cheap and lame way in conducting the film only based on Marvel’s boost of the Avenger’s unit.

Many believe Snyder is literally rushing the franchise along without Batman or Wonder Woman in their re-castings gaining new films beforehand.

Our view?

Warner need to sack Snyder imminently. Bringing the franchise down and crippling its mentality before it begins is horrific. When the movie plays out, Snyder’s rush to cast ‘popular favourites’ (especially after FalseFabs debated Wonder Woman’s inevitable on-screen return) will ruin the film, the actors and the characters. It is something that the movie house will never live down. On top of this, it will clearly hand the victory to Marvel.

Set for 2015, Snyder’s Superman sequel with Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck is now rumoured to have been pushed back from its release date to 2016. Warner Bros. confirmed the film was put back till May 2016, which is another slap in the face to the fans. Prepare for more outrage on YouTube, no doubt.

While this is an amazing opportunity for Gadot, whom we have no hatred towards personally, the hiring of a random pin up will ruin the reputation of Wonder Woman herself. It could also make the franchise look very disillusioned from what a superhero actually is and what makes them connected to the audience.

Aiming to find someone ‘new’ and unknown to create some buzz and boost Snyder’s ego is ridiculous. The man has now proved immensely inferior and no picture house should work with the tool ever again. Your reputation is on the line and is something that when taking a huge hit, can ruin everything strived for.

Taking this long to deal with and filled with hot air, the film is already a massive mess and hasn’t even had any real detail on the release. If you need a new director, email us.

Marvel film announced. Age of Ultron for 2015

Good news for Marvel fans. A new hero mash up is on its way. Fans will see the return of a new Marvel Avengers film set for release in May 2015. Many fans had been guessing who or what would be the subject of the new film, only announced by the Marvel hero house.

We can reveal the movie will be based on the character Ultron, in the new flick Avengers: Age of Ultron. The film plans to paint a portrait of the story detailing how the character alters from hero to villainy ways. The role will be taken by James Spader.

The star studded line-up is expected to host other heroes including Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Chris Evans as Captain America (following recently released The Winter Soldier in cinemas now.)

Also popping up will be Jeremy Renner, who previously signed up as Hawkeye but failed to be given any idea when his call up to screen would come.

Others include Chris Hemswortavengersh as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. returning as Iron Man and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

Aaron Taylor Johnson, who most know as Kick-Ass will transform into a new role as Quicksilver. Elizabeth Olsen will also take a role as Scarlett Witch.

Fans still speculate the villain could be Thanos, who is expected to be saved for the next or future installment, possibly in 2018.

Given the demand and success superheroes bring to the modern age, are the franchises now over diluting the series and its characters? With a star studded line up, Marvel have placed a good idea behind the movie, but it could be off-putting with too much input. Ultimately we shall see how it pans out but three or four major heroes with supporting heroes could be a big spanner in the works. It feels as though Marvel aim to add too much in one flick.

There is however  a silver lining here. The director is Buffy maestro and TV hero himself, Joss Whedon. These may just be the safe hands the film and its heroes need. Whedon added Spader was “his first and only choice.”

In the UK, however, the Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D television series, most believed would triumph, became a huge flop failing to interest. If Marvel can get its multi-hero movies put down well, with huge ammunition behind the production, it could continue to interest with spin off franchises. One thing we would suggest is to consider downsizing too much content which could ruin the story. This practice has often than not, caused problems for hero films in the past. It also seems as though any actor would love to grab a part as a hero and choosing postmodern popular culture could crack the Avengers’ outlook overall.

Can Wonder Woman resurface on screen?

In the growing age of a male dominated Superhero franchise and Societies impact on females as secondary, many have called for a female superhero to re-embody the limelight. There aren’t many female hero’s to note with the obvious being Wonder Woman and there are calls for her to stage a comeback. But in this revolutionary age, filled with actresses who are somewhat fashionable icons rather than gritty heroes, surely we cannot blame numerous Hollywood executives for rehashing the male impactful lycra saviours?

wonder woman anime

If Wonder Woman were to resurface who would play her? Would she have stage prominence? Would it empower women as it did in the 60s/70s and 80s?

With the lack of female role models in sport, politics and business clearly there is a place for such a comeback. However, Wonder Woman, in my opinion, should not be reborn just for the sake to sell a movie. The cost would be ruining the character for generations, missing vital ingredients for sequels and silly beauty models trying to bag roles that destroy her lineage. You could hire me to be part oft he team also, should the go ahead occur. 🙂

She fights for justice, love and sexual equality. Her special weapon, the Lasso of Truth binds her foes with peaceful might. On a mission to be noble, Wonder Woman may just be the greatest female to resurface as a role model. However, the script, action and actress portrayal must be paramount to success. It should not be resurfaced for a fun time if it will end up becoming a flop.

Asked what Superhero I most resemble, the answer is Superman. Helps others, seeks truth and fights injustice. Forget Batman, maybe Wonder Woman should have joined Superman in the Man of Steel sequel as the female mirror image. Am I transformed into Wonder Woman instead? 😮

Most notably nearly all females aside from Wonder Woman have been spin off’s such as SuperGirl, BatGirl etc and others in a series like Storm, Rogue and Jean Grey from X-Men. No stand alone character has joined the screens. The recent uprising of KissAss’s HitGirl is not one to fully embody because she is a villain in a heroes role with such violence and unnecessary evil promoted for the idea of goodwill which upsets the boundary.

trio girl heroes

Simply put, the only female hero is Wonder Woman, which also shows just how lacking the era of female power as a hero has come. For at least four decades, there has been none of real interest.

wonder woman

The majority of leading females have been cast into the role of wronged woman fighting for revenge using such brutal force to achieve retribution. Examples such as Kill Bill, Hit Girl as above, among other comic heroines is apparent. There should not be a female hero just for the sake of producing one. Then the production is to develop a fighting woman and then producers can’t help themselves to then cast them into a bitter battling demon of righteous value, supposedly. That formula does not work.

SHORTLIST

Lucy Lawless

  • Xena, primarily, but could be looked on for fallback as her stint in Battlestar Gallactica proved she can add a different layer to a charcter.

  • Has more of a model look, however, which would disregard what Wonder Woman stands for.

Megan Fox

  • A huge no, no. Has no appeal except in a bikini.

Jessica Chastain

  • No athleticisim, looker only.

Lynn Collins

  • Already played in John Carter film. 2012.

What Wonder Woman requires is strong sense of appeal, maturity and a strong role model in heroic aspect. The Woman can be a redhead, too, as this would work in a modern take. Though she could never be blonde. The five below are options that would be best suited to bring back a strong sense of style, a sexual pin up in a respectful approach and aspirations for the future with a different stance and style in each one individual.

OUR TOP 5?

(In no order)

Christina Ricci

Thandie Newton

Star Wars Episode VII. Gosling and Efron in it?

It’s the ultimate fan boy franchise. To bag a role in Star Wars is the ultimate win for fan theory and as an actor.

star wars retro

Then it should please fans to know that Superstuds Zac Efron and Ryan Gosling have auditioned for the seventh Star Wars film, set to be filmed in London next year.

Gosling would look very good as a Sith lord after recent work in Only God Forgives highlighted a somber and captivating presence on screen.

star wars

Matt Damon has also been highly rumoured to join the cast, but is high speculation and rumour at this point looking unlikely.

J.J. Abrams of Star Trek and Lost will be directing the film from scriptwriter Michael Arndt.

All three original cast members Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) are said to be returning. Episode VI ended as Luke and Leia discovered they are twins that were separated at birth to protect them from the empire. Billy Dee Williams who plays Captain Lando and Anthony Daniels (C3PO) are likely to reappear also. Ewan McGregor may retake the role of Obi Wan Kenobi, as a force ghost.

gos zac

Seven’s story may feature Han and Leia’s teen daughter in a hearty role.

Disney bought the rights to the film from legendary creator George Lucas.

The release is planned for December 2015.

Lucas is said to have pre planned years ago to extend the franchise to episode IX.

family tree

All in all, Lucas has a grand plan spread out since his early years. He has direction and remains creative consultant, a wise move for Disney to maintain. Lucas has known how to make the franchise connect with fans and small tweaks with certain characters and a strong story with fan action and hot new actors in supporting roles will drive the movies forward favourably.

Bryan Cranston bags Luthor role

Image

After the recent revelation Ben Affleck was chosen to take the keys of The Batmobile for a spin, the kyroptonite to Bruce Wayne’s power has been acknowledged.

Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston has received the role of the bald headed baddie.

An online petition scoring thousand of signatures against Affleck portraying Batman was signed in hope Snyder, infatuated with Affleck, reconsider.

Image

We previously wrote in our shortlist of Batman choices Cranston could be one of three hot choices. Mark Strong was also tipped to secure the role and on our list too.

Cranston will certainly put a strong emphasis on the role.

Image

Director Zack Snyder had come under scrutiny after rewarding Affleck, an unwise choice with fans hoping to buy the film, the cape of Gotham City. Snyder may have attempted to make a name for himself, but will certainly go down in history as unfavourable and clueless.

ben affleck batman

Funny enough, in 2001, Ben took to an interview to say “I am not Batman.” The production team are the same studios that produced the Green Lantern. They cast sweet-looking Ryan Reynolds, a then Hollywood luvvie, into the role. The film was a massive flop soon after.
